How does LPR work?
ZKTeco’s LPR (License Plate Recognition) technology a computer video image recognition technology applied in license plate recognition. Upon vehicles’ arrival at carpark entrance, LPR camera automatically scans license plate characters and identifes license plate numbers, colors and other relevant information. If the numbers on license plate are valid, barrier will be lifted for access, otherwise no access will be allowed.
Automatic Number Plates Verifcation using Computer Vision Technology
LPR technology is an application of computer video image recognition technology in license plate identifcation area. Its operation starts when the vehicle is located at the entrance of the parking lot, the LPR Camera will scan on the license plate character, and its recognition technology will identify the license plate number, color and other information. If the number on the license plate is valid, the car park barrier will lift for access, otherwise, no access will be allowed.
Vehicle Colour Detection using Computer Vision Technology Computer Vision
Vehicle Colour detection applies ZKTeco’s Computer Vision Technology, it is integrated with license plate recognition and manufacturer recognition function for high preciseness of vehicle recognition.
ZKTeco’s automatic license plate recognition are able to detect up to 16 colours of vehicle including White / Grey / Gold / Pink / Red / Purple / Green / Blue / Brown / Black / Silver / Yellow / Tan / Yellow Green & Orange.
The system supports multi-factor authentication of the monitored vehicle for higher security level. Vehicles are only allowed to exit with exactly same colour, manufacturer and licence plate number upon successful authentication by the system.
Manufacturer Recognition is able to identify manufacturing brands of vehicles, it can be integrated with license plate recognition and colour recognition for multi-verification to identify if a monitored vehicle matches all information in database for access and exit. Vehicle Type Recognition is a key function to the ZKTeco
parking system, which offers high accuracy of recognizing vehicles' type according to different car sizes. It is able to detect vehicle type of sedan and truck. Monitored vehicles will be allowed to access and exit upon entire matching with the information in the database.

With computer vision and deep learning algorithm, the system's anti-counterfeiting ability has been greatly
enhanced–ِ and is able to prevent fake license plate, photoand video. Manually handheld license plates are easily recognized ؛

Recognition and detection are also enabled in both real-time and ofine modes. From barrier opening, recording video, license plate capturing, diferent angles and lighting conditions are also enabled.

Ofine mode refers to that the LPR terminal itself can save templates, fnish authorization and perform smooth operation process even ofine. Also, in ofine mode, the templates and data cannot be updated and all pending updates will be quickly resumed once the network is online.
Real Time Parking Lot Monitoring
It provides an additional function for admin to have a real time monitoring in the monitor room,you can check video images and entrance and exit information of all guard booths in all parking lots.
